Shigga Shay: The “365” Mixed Reality Experience
Southeast Asia’s first mixed reality video concert
In the year of the pandemic, shows, festivals or any sort of live entertainment were cancelled. While most musicians and performers have taken to live streaming to share their creation, we conceived Southeast Asia’s first fully virtual live concert, along with rapper ShiGGa Shay. Built on a real time game engine, bringing to life the performer (in a motion capture suit) as a digital avatar. From immersive stage sets, to epic lighting & effects design, this interactive virtual concert enabled audiences to be part of co creating the experience in real time with the performance. The 40 minutes show saw more than 600 unique registered viewers on the platform (with more than 5000 unregistered users), with less than 5% dropout rate. The show graphics was edited into a music video, which has garnered more than 200k viewers. Platform.
